Amex to Mariott Bonvoy bonus points scheme any time soon?

I think last September-October, Amex had a promotional offer wherein it gave 30% extra bonus MB points during conversion. Just wanted to know from the Hotel Loyalty points experts if such offers are multiple times a year/once a year/once every few years?
