Just to update I too received my playing cards yesterday. I wasn't even aware of the offer when I applied MRCC from a random referral and it got rejected. But then @S S V reached out to me and helped me pin down my rejection reason patiently and even checked with customer care for my pin code. To my surprise he never offered referral, but I myself asked, applied and got Plat travel card through him. It was a good journey with him assisting always.
Hope one gets genuine persons while applying and not fall for fake offers. Cheers

Its nothing ... and nothing personal... he is from a newly serviceable area as far as Amex Card issuance perspective..
I spent sometime understanding his intial rejection and also confirmed from Amex support that his area is serviceable or not..
Nothing big trade secret.. just a genuine effort to resolve the issue...
