All Accor Account Getting Hacked & Blocked - Be Ware - Process to Unblock the Account

TF Folks,

This post is regarding All Accor Account getting Hacked and process to unblock the account.

There are many users reporting that their Accor accounts are getting hacked and points will be used later, Account will be blocked. Account will be hacked and you will not get any mail or intimation (most cases) that your points are being redeemed and users book hotels in (Russia, Dubai, China or elsewhere). Users can identify the hacking only when they login to accounts.

Step 1: Immediately Approach All Accor Support Team ( support@accorplushelp.zendesk.com or +1800 419 7172 Accor customer care got from Accor Website)

Step 2: Inform them about the incident happened over the call or mail (Best Case would be call)

On call you will be assigned with an agent and he/she would be POC on the case till the case is closed.

Step 3: They will send you a trail mail with all the discussion, They would ask for the details and proof of identity Passport, Aadhar , PAN or Driving License (Better to share Driving License as it won't have any confidential details). They will move on for investigation

Step 4: They would request you to change the password which is not being used on any other profiles across web associated to your mail or User ID. They will investigate internally and check whether the genuine case or not.

Step 5: Wait till further communication from them, (Usually takes 10-15 business days) later they will ask for Sworn Statement, which has to attested by you saying that you haven't travelled and you haven't redeemed the points (and they keep the letter as the record within their systems)

Step 6: After all this process they will unblock the account and points will be reversed.

In December 2024 my account got hacked and blocked (utilized in Morocco) and I have went through this complete process. Hope it helps.

Luckily I have realized this during the guest staying at the property and investigation was easier for them. It might not be the case with all. So better change the password.

Non Blocked Users: Change your password which is not being used on other website.

Did Accor catch the hacker while he was staying at the property, during his stay there?

They didn’t mention those things. They told me that in our investigation it’s verified that you didn’t stay.

As mentioned earlier the stay was active by the time raised issue.

My account just got hacked. Got the mail today about the cancellation of stay in dubai and 1 lakh points used. account was not blocked so changed the password immediately.
Will follow the process, let's see how this goes.

I tried calling the number, but they didn't help since I'm not a plus member. The number is plus membership exclusive.
I changed my password but since there is no way to logout from hacker device, 50000 more points were used today.
I've mailed customercare@accor.com yesterday. No reply yet. Let's see.

Try canceling that booking and making another one for next year to use up all your available points.

Is there an option to enable 2FA?

Additionally, you can check if your data was leaked by entering your email address here. It's also not a good idea to use same password for multiple websites.

What was 50000 points used for by the hacker? because redemption for any shopping items is at a very low rate or gives very poor value.

This worked. They shared a link to upload "sworn statement" and ID proof. Points have been credited back.
All this took 5 days from the hack to points being credited back.
Overall good service. Need 2FA though.

p.s. if you're not Accor member, then only this email customercare@accor.com works. The other email and phone numbers are for members only and they won't give any support, so don't waste your time there.

Good to know that they are fixing it within 5 days

Last night, someone hacked into my Accor Live Limitless (ALL) account. They changed my email without my permission, and before I could act, they transferred 140,000 reward points to a partner listed as "Woolworths" on July 3rd.

I did not authorize any of this. These points were earned over time and now seem to be lost. I’ve already contacted Accor and Woolworths for help.

What’s concerning is how easily the email and point transfer happened without strong verification. I expected better security from a global brand like Accor, especially for high-value loyalty accounts.

If you have an Accor account, please keep an eye on your activity and act immediately if anything looks suspicious. And if anyone else has gone through something similar and managed to recover their points, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience.

Thanks, I have reported incident via their website, email, twitter and over the call. Hopefully I get back my points soon.

Just wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else facing the same issue.

Yesterday my Accor account was hacked. Someone changed my registered email address without my knowledge, and before I could react, they had transferred 140,000 points out of my account via the Woolworths partner transfer option — in three separate transactions (50k + 50k + 40k points).

It was shocking and frustrating.

What I Did Immediately:

  • I raised complaints through email, Accor’s website, and social media.
  • Most importantly, I called Accor Plus customer care directly.

This turned out to be the most effective step. The customer care agent I spoke to was very understanding and acted immediately. They:
  • Logged the issue and shared a case reference
  • Asked for a written confirmation and a signed sworn statement
  • Stayed in touch via email and calls throughout the process
Within a short time — I believe just a couple of hours — my full 140,000 points were restored.

Key Takeaways:

  • If your account is ever compromised, don’t rely on email alone. Calling the right support team (Accor Plus in my case) made all the difference.
  • The team was proactive, communicative, and really helped me with further steps.
  • Always keep an eye on your account activity and react immediately if something feels off.

Grateful to Accor Plus for handling this so quickly and professionally.
