Hotel Points Accor (Pullman) blocked amount reversal.

I booked Pullman aerocity yesterday. At reception they charged my credit card 30k. While checking out, I made the payment including taxes through ALL points + rs. 1500. They said that 1500 would be charged from that initial 30K and rest would be reverted back to the card.

Any idea how long should it take? I received a message from SBI card today that transaction of 30k was declined, but this was a different transaction, not the 30K payment that I had made yesterday.

It's standard practice. They must have taken security deposit by doing card authorisation. It may take a day to a week. Transaction won't settle until then.

They blocked 25000 in my case 2 weeks back. Amount was refunded after 24 hours

Usually takes 1-2 days. Although I haven't received the amount release sms sometimes.

Just curios, is it not possible to book with accor points in advance to avoid security deposit?

Even you book in advance in points deposit will still be required
