I have posted this earlier :
Few days back, we called again. He changed the wire of my AC. He said that previous wire got damaged due to high voltage but he didn't tell the reason behind high voltage. Only I am getting this issue. Other people are not having this issue in our neighbourhood.
2 days ago, I again noticed a spark in the wire but it went away immediately when I switched off stabilizer MCB. When I switched on back, AC tripped stabilizer MCB and not main board MCB of house. I again switched on AC and again the same problem. I went on to switch on AC for 3rd time, that issue didn't occur again. Everything was fine after that. Yesterday was also fine. That bad incident happened at 11pm.
I am confused about avoiding dangers related to AC. I am not that knowledgeable. What might damage my wires? What might lead to high voltage? What should I do to avoid such situation?
I am afraid if I again face this issue. AC technician said I won't face problem.
He did measured current amount. He had a device. Even testing ac without compressor, ac was still tripping mcb. This!
Call electrician and check how much current is flowing through the wire, it's cause mostly by faulty capacitors in old ac's.
Do get it checked as high flow can cause wire to melt and fire.
If not you'll end up paying hefty electricity bill at end of the month.
