Calculation tips: Myntra returns via Smartbuy yield 5% CB but on returning the item, it reverses from 1% CB category. Probably some bug at their end and will be fixed.
Category 4 - 6% Cashback
Buying any giftcard on payzapp gives 5% cashback via smartbuy and 1% Swiggy cashback when statement is generated.
This is there for all HDFC cards so nothing new.
Category 5 - 5% Cashback
HDFC and Swiggy are very opaque and non-transparent in this. The MCC list is given on their website with the line "Please note that only selected merchants mapped under the above list of
MCCs are eligible for 5% Cashback Category".

Notable Exceptions:
1. For tata brands like Cliq, Luxe etc., even though they fall in covered MCC, the MCC may change if you are ordering via Tata Neu. So its hit and miss.
2. Amazon now uses many MCC's and there is no way to know where your transaction will go. So remember that the merchant "AMAZON PAY INDIA Pvt L" and "Amazon Gift Card" only gives 1% cashback.
3. Similarly even though they have specifically written that Ajio is covered (discount stores), it is MCC dependent. The merchant "Ajio Bangalore" did not yield 5% cashback. This will also be the case for Flipkart.
4. PTM*Medpluslabs, Apollo Pharmacies Limi Chennai fall under MCC of pharmacies but give only 1% cashback.
5. Dealkart (Lenskart) - [1% or 5% (Hit or Miss Case)]
6. Buying amazon pay vouchers on amazon now gives Gift card MCC on mastercards. So only 1% cashback there.
Category 6 - Everything Else is 1% Cashback
