You need to add biller first. Then let hdfc smartpay system to fetch your newly generated bill then it will schedule for date 4 days before due date but will pay 3 days before due date only automatically. This bill payment has failed for many this month start. So no guarantee that bill will be paid 100% so be ready to pay using other platforms also in case it gets failed to pay.
If bill does not get scheduled then it will be scheduled from next month.

As I said we don't pay manually, we give instructions while registering biller to pay automatically using HDFC platinum DC. Have you registered your biller already in HDFC Smartpay? has your bill is being shown in hdfc bank app under scheduled bills? There you will see the date on which HDFC Smartpay will automatically pay your bill.

Like I have added my card, today bill is already generated, I will be adding all my other cards too

It wouldn't give rewards. Only Autopay gives rewards

Scheduling bills happens within 1 to 3 days of bill generated in my experience. Its not instant.

same issue today only debited and yes mostly the payment will be failed.

Yes..those are already there. I have 38K bill and my outstanding is 40K.
