Just received message from SBI that Payment could not be processed as the amount paid is more than the outstanding amount

Yesterday Night received the message that payment has been processed successfully

However the amount is showing in SBI CC app in unbilled Transactions and outstanding has already been adjusted

Don't know what is happening

Also SBI CC bill still. showing as In Process in HDFC app

History is showing nothing. Shows Delieverd in scheduled tasks . Confused what it means.
How to cancel it .when I click the au card in biller section,it shows already autopay scheduled .

Update: Bill payment done by smartpay . When will we get cashback any TAT ?

Your card has a capping. It is not about having money but about allowing your DC to spend that money.

it's not about allowing your DC to spend the money but it's simply HDFC bill pay system failure. It can fail by giving any xyz reason anytime.

For me also it failed giving same reason but I had enough balance as well as spend limit more than the bill amount.

Well, this happened with me when I used to pay manually using DC. My DC ecom limit was 50k but I tried paying bill worth 65K. Ended up getting this error.

I have seen that due to SBI rounding up Smartpay fails e.g. if the spends are 999.90 INR then SBI presents a bill of 1000 INR. However, BBPS will fetch 999.90 and payment may fail.

Amount of Rs 36068 has already been settled in SBI CC but HDFC message says Payment Failed, Refund in 5 days
Tomorrow is due date

I am also in same boat. Payment scheduled for 2 june not deducted yet.

May be we shouldn't take the risk, let's pay using other channel. If HDFC will try to pay later most probably it will be declined as bill already paid. In worst case we have to chase the credit card bank to refund the overpaid amount.
