Just curious

Who keeps this float money and thus it's income for 2-3 days
Nobody as this is under escrow account where no interest is provided until payment is settled

Even this is settled this is under current account (as this is busines where no interest is given. Business need to put anywhere else to earn anything on that money)

Only Banks have real profits where account is opened (either escrow or current) as there credit ratio increases

Yes

I was asking from Banks POV

In this case
Only Banks have real profits where account is opened (either escrow or current) as there credit ratio increases
But we wouldn't know about it

Suppose I pay HDFC CC bill

By RBL Bank DC

And transaction failed

In SBI unipay

Escrow can be completely different than HDFC and RBL.

Right?

And HDFC , RBL, SBI don't get benefits from this money for that 2 - 3 days of reversal period?

Yes, But it all depends on the payment gateway. Escrow account is different or same based on the payment gateway provider that you paid. There might be same in the case of sbi billdesk and maintaining the escrow account in SBI itself.

Eg. As a general example on any app, suppose paid hdfc bill by Rbl by Payu payment gateway (eg), and Payu using Axis bank escrow account (eg, not known), so Axis Credit Ratio will increase for that time.

I paid HDFC CC bill using SBI Unipay (using HDFC Plat DC). Money deducted from HDFC DC but payment failed on SBI side and SBI did not inform me. It does not even show up as failed transaction. Had to pay late fee charge to HDFC.

I really hope SBI closes one day. Pathetic bank.

Have you checked after 2 or 3 days outstanding is reduced with the payment? Our responsibility is to check that as well when using 3rd party services. Why SBI need to close it? 🤣

Members please correct me if wrong.
So what I understood from this thread:
1. We can pay any CC bill from sbi unipay using HDFC platinum DC to get 1% cashback.
2. We can use UPI and use rupay CC to pay it.
Q. Do we get rupay cc reward points? (on pnb rupay select)?
3. The paying method although showing 0% charge may add charges due to Balance transfer?
