Further update to earlier post.. Direct opening on joint account was technical challenge. So they opened Solo account (on 30th April) and after backend activation (on 2nd May) added second name too. Today (on 3 May) visited branch, got passbook printed which shows both names added to the...

Indeed, company code is not mandatory. My account was opened 2 days back without the same. But lately, their "backend" team which activates the account, have started asking for salary proof. Pls be careful.

In that case, they will create the code called "AC Label". It is like 2-3 hrs activity. But that is not mandatory.
