As far as I have read in this forum, they don't care on how much you have spent on platinum charge. They will never offer more than 20k taj voucher for retention.

This is incorrect as per my conversation with customer care. They said if you upgrade, your MRCC will be cancelled. They also refused any companion card. And if one has to keep MRCC , then They can apply for Amex plat travel online as a new card.
