Kotak 811 Infinity Metal Debit Card – Unboxing & First Impressions

When I opened account, there was an option - Select Account Type
You have to select 811 super with Metal DC. It automatically sets minimum balance to add - 81100

I opened the account on August 7.

When I requested the agent to issue the metal debit card, he selected this option. Which set the minimum initial funding option to 81.1K

I funded 100K through a UPI QR code generated at the time of onboarding. The account got credited and subsequently within a few hours 399 was debited from the new account.

Now other forum members are saying that this metal debit card has been discontinued and only plastic cards are being issued now. However the website and the GFSC sheet still shows the option to avail a metal DC through the 81.1K funding route.

I am unsure whether I will actually receive a metal DC or the regular plastic DC. But the agent assured me that I will recieve a metal DC couriered to my address.

Till now the app only shows the virtual DC and the option to apply for new physical debit cards, normal and PVR.

You will get the metal DC only.

Upi funding by QR ?? Which app allowed such huge amount ?isn't their a limitation / day ?

Not discontinued..
1 of my colleagues opened account 5 Aug, got metal card delivered on 8

I applied through the field agent so that offline kyc is done. Application process was very smooth and he applied for metal dc and I did 81.1k initial funding. Account was functional within 2hrs.
I can see that 399 was debited for Super program and virtual visa card is active, but there's no communication regarding the Metal DC or any other plastic card for that matter.
The field executive told me to wait for a few days and I'll get courier update of the DC. Any idea how long they'll take?

Also, just a doubt about the future... As of now, the card is issued free of cost. But once this card expires, and they replace it with a new card, will they charge 4999? What do y'all think?

Generally takes 3-4 working days for message and delivery can take upto a week depending on your location.

I don't think anybody can answer this. They recently launched this metal DC and for some cases, they are saying that metal DC is discontinued.

So, anything in happen in future. Nobody knows if this super program will last another year or not.

Ok. I'll wait for a few more days as today is the 1st working day after account opening.
Also, I got this 250rs woohoo voucher. I read someone saying this Woohoo offer and metal DC are 2 separate offers and both can't be taken together. Seems like that's not the case as I did 81.1k funding, and not 25k that is needed for woohoo.

Will update here once I get the message of courier or the card itself. Although I applied for metal card, I'm a bit sceptical after seeing all these messages. My main requirement is to get cashback on fuel. Just that metal "feels good" .

Damn you got the 250 voucher pretty quickly.
Here I am waiting for it for 1.5 months lol
 
I visited the offline branch today and opened the account, funding it with ₹81,100 during the process. The QR code was auto-generated for ₹81,100 after the agent selected the Infinity Metal Debit Card on his tablet. He assured me I would definitely get the metal card, but I’m still skeptical—yesterday, when I called them twice, they said it had been discontinued and that a plastic debit card with the same features was being issued instead.

Does anyone know how many days it usually takes for the debit card to be delivered?
