Want to build a better way to track card rewards, milestones, and spends

Hi everyone,

I use a few credit cards and often run into these issues:
  • I lose track of milestone spends needed for rewards or fee waivers
  • I forget which card offers lounge access or other benefits
  • I need to log into different bank apps just to check basic info
  • I dig through emails or PDFs to find past spends or offers

I'm thinking of building a simple, privacy-friendly tool to make this easier — something that helps track all this in one place without needing SMS or email access.

Right now, I’m just validating the idea.

Would love to hear from you:
  • How do you currently manage your cards, spends, and rewards?
  • What’s the biggest pain point for you?
  • What would your ideal tool look like?
Appreciate any feedback!

- excel, money manager and monthly statements (without any permissions)
- initially it took time, now its part of routine. its easy now.
- excel (annual spends, return rate, due date, amount left)

btw, 2 & 3 from first 4 points will never go away.

Many tools are already existing. I would say do not reinvent the wheel unless it is absolutely necessary.

I have been cought in this management spiral multiple times. But after hoarding CCs and DCs It's not worth time time. There are just 4-5 CCs worth keeping track of and an Excel sheet/basic tracker app is all you need. as @cardio_guy mentioned do not reinvent the wheel

I was epxloring this last few weeks. I have come across many apps and tools - starting from cred, savesage, awardwallet, fold, ccreward, and all those hobby-projects by enthusiasts. At the end of the day, yes like what you told, it is not worth the time -- to overdo it, and to reinvent it.
100% matching with this -- there are just 4-5 CCs worth keeping track of and an Excel sheet/basic tracker app is all you need.

Thanks for the feedback. I've already tried this website, but it's not what I want. I'm not trying to rediscover the wheel, which is why I'm putting more time into planning my main features very carefully.

Sure no worries. Yes it can be difficult, we cannot find the exact customized solution that we want for our cards.
Even I am not able to find a 100% match to my requirements.

Tracking includes spend categories, cardwise and total, card expiry dates, bill dates, reward points accumilated, cashbacks received, points expiry, best card for a particular usecase or expense, which card to use and how to use for best rewards, double dip options, and things like that.

If you can come up with something, many people from this community will be happy to help and contribute.
