Dhani pay requires Aadhar based ekyc before you attempt to use cc payment. There are non bbps cards too but I wasn't able to pay using dc as it kept showing some error.

I just blocked that card immediately. I think the app was glitching. Some times it was showing mine, other times some other users. I guess the issue is fixed now.

Afaik, there are no sms alert charges for sbi. also debit card charges are first year free. You can hotlist it at the end of the year and apply for a virtual card
