I had salary account with kotak long time ago and closed it in probably 2018-19. I tried to open 811 using app but it told me to visit branch. The agent at branch entered my details, found the CRN. Asked me about old account and I said it is closed long ago. Then also he proceeded further with KYC and existing CRN and 811 super is done. DC & chequebook are on way.Yeah tried they are saying even if you close the account CRN won't be deleted with them, and Kotak 811 is not allowed for the customers with existing CRN with the Bank.

Aisa hota hai but. 3 saal pehle kotak 811 account tha mera fir maine usko close karwa diya. Fir recently 204 starting me ek thread dekha waha daala tha jinka 811 closed hogya tha wo dubra open karlo kaam kar rha. Ek aur reh gaya, jinke pass 811 hai already along with some other A/c,That is just one of the many excuses they have.
1. First excuse: We can't open a new account in Kotak 811.
2. Second excuse: Let's say you already have Kotak 811, then they’ll say they can’t upgrade it to Kotak 811 Super.
3. Third excuse: 'Existing savings account holders can’t downgrade to Kotak 811 Super.
4. Fourth excuse: Finally, even if you manage to get an agent to help you open a Kotak 811 Super account, you still can't log in to the Kotak 811 app.
