Suppose I did a transaction of 1000 this month and I got cashback of 50/- credited next day after the statement has been generated. So can I pay 950 outstanding amount now or do I need to pay 1000 and the 50 cashback I need to adjust with my next month spends ?

If the bill generated is of Rs 1000, pay full amount. Your next bill will include this cashback amount as reduction. Don't take risk of paying even 1 rupee less than the full billed amount.

It does. But SBI card will say in email that it doesn't. If you call customer care they will say it does.
Personally, never got penalized/charged for paying = Total Bill minus Cashback amount.

Why is there such a lack of transparency and contrarian answers from support? This clarification should, in fact, be explicitly mentioned in their terms and conditions since this is a genuine query for all users.

SBI card being part of SBI earlier, things rub off 😑.
In few cases, you won't be able to pay the full bill (when the cashback amount is large) due to a max limit from SBI card to overpayment of credit card bill.

Yes, it is considered as a payment, so you only need to pay 950 INR. For safety, you can pay an additional 1-10 INR. To verify that the full amount has been paid, ensure that the unbilled amount and the outstanding amount are the same
