My branch personal is telling that if add on family account is opened for exclusive account we need to maintain 2 lakh. Is that true whether non maintainance waiver doesn't applicable for add on account @HyperBeast

Yes my Indus RM also said the same thing. If my account has addon family accounts, then offer not applicable. As in, even I would then have to maintain MAB.

My executive didn't mention anything like that, he just said I will have to do a initial funding of 20k for add on account.

Add on accounts always share the features of head account without any need to maintain extra.
In this case the head account will be 0 mab.

Not pretty sure but no seperate balance requirement is asked in any add on accounts.

Look at the image it's clearly says free zero balance account for family.

I had opened partner account with zero MAB in June with Rs 2L initial funding. Withdrew the initial funding and I was charged around Rs 800 as non mtce charges.

After complaints, was told that the offer code wasn't applied during account opening and charges were reversed.

Now this month again non mtce charges were applied.

Multiple escalations and still the charges havent been reversed.

Waiting for response from RBI CRM...

All this despite a written confirmation from the bank.

Please be careful with IndusInd bank offers.

It has been over a week since the escalation to RBI (CMS) and the status continues to be in 'Complaint Registered with RBI and sent to Regulated Entity' state.

I have exhausted all available means of escalation and there appears to be no way to recover the non maintenance charges (of around Rs 1700).

Escalated to RM, BM, PNO, Senior Management, MD Desk and finally to RBI!

Have never seen anything like this in any bank in India / other countries.

Please take extra care in ensuring that the 'offer code gets applied by backend team' after account is opened as the bank appears to have no way to undo the charges levied.

I will confirm this with my RM, but it should not be chargeable based on what information I had got. I already got exclusive add on for family setup, so will confirm if I am charged something, haven't been charged so far, even ordered the new dc that comes with exclusive for the add on account.

I got conflicting information, different from what you all are saying.

I had a select account, opened exclusive account under's mothers name and yesterday my select was changed to exclusive add on. RM had said, we could retain exclusive accounts, no MAB, no initial funding whatsoever.

I have an upstox 3in1 account. Demat not active anymore. My RM denied to upgrade it to exclusive account and map under my new exclusive account giving some technical reason. Can you please ask your RM that is it possible to change the variant of Upstox 3 in 1 account? Thanks.

Can be possible but u will lose the benefits of 3 in 1 trading account once ur account turned into exclusive
To my surprise the branch ppl converted some of the upstox account into 0 mab may be some schemes at those days

That’s their signature dialogue ask him or her to transfer call to their superior then they treat you differently.
Btw Sunday IndusInd sb Custcare won’t be available only credit card cc functions
