yes it might not work to everyone , go for a closure request if u dont want the card and ask them to transfer to retention team , they will do it
There u mention them i need this for LTF , mostly they give 2500 RP and if u r a valuable customer , they might convert to LTF also , try your luck.

no bro even if ltf campaign comes , they wont convert exiting card to LTF.

I tried with my Airtel credit card once to retention team. Actually not at once multiple times with pno.nodal, also. They never ever go for LTF for ace and Airtel at any cost. I tried this by keeping my card with due amount, otherwise retention team can close it instantly. I don't want to take risk

ya in another way , i was holding 1 flipkart card i have asked them to convert to LTF but they converted to myzone for LTF.
Same for my friend as well.
but flipkart card , mostly they wont convert to LTF , try your luck.

My Flipkart is itself a lifetime free card. As I tried with Airtel cards, but they denied it. I was having a long argument with them for almost 53 minutes on the call with retention team then to Thier higher team. Conversion of Flipkart is based on your luck+ negotiation skills. But it's possible. If you directly ask them to convert, they will never do that. You should have a valid reason. I mean in Airtel I was tried in all possible way to convert it into Lifetime free like it's offer reduced but annual fee remains the same, and most important thing that I hold Airtel credit card statement format issue. There is no separate column for breakup of individual cashback column. So without having any assurance that we are getting proper cashback or not then why we need to own your service". These are my small arguments. But after a long conversation they informed that u are a valuable customer but we don't have any option to convert Airtel into Lifetime free but they told me that card like Flipkart can be converted into Lifetime free. See it's purely based on your luck+negotiation skills. If you hold multiple card then start with to connect to the retention team. After connected tell them to provide the procedure to close all your credit card (don't give any confirmation from starting to close the cards). Then inform them the reason why you want to convert it. like you can add about devaluation,annual fee waiver criteria is high. But even they refused the conversion of my Airtel card, they offered me 2500 edge rewards+ if I spend 80000 till Oct and after spending 30000 from the date of annual fee deducted, then they are ready to waive the annual fee. But I don't have much spend.sorry for the grammer mistake if any.

Thanks let me try this hack , even i feel the same when ace has reduced the benefits but still annual fees waiver option is still 2L , the same with airtel as well.
Bro ace and Airtel cards provides great offers especially Airtel provides 25% cashback. So they don't have such offer to convert it into LTF actually. They are not denied actually, I am pretty sure that they don't have any option for Airtel and ace for the conversion just because of it's offer.

Ya bro i agree , but the capping got reduced bro .
If u ask me , ace was the best offline card , now since they are giving 1.5% on offline , i think we can directly go to HSBC which is a great card.
Also for ace we get 5% upto 500 which was unlimited earlier bro , so only saying.
I totally agree with 1 point which u say about airtel card bro , no cashback showing on statements on transaction based.
I tried my level best to pno, nodal , even at m.d level to revamp the statement format of Airtel credit card. But every time they denied it. Bro actually Airtel cards are very hard to get earlier, that is one of the reason why it devalued in a small way only capping from 300 to 250 only. But in future you can expect a devaluation in Airtel credit card as it is getting now as pre-approved and can able to apply via website. So may be in future they can provide the cards as LTF. axis is completely unpredictable. I have a suggestion if they receive a bulk email regarding the revamp of Airtel statement they may consider it.
