Because platinum, amex Sapphiro & MasterCard Sapphiro shows same current outstanding. Whereas mmt & apay have different current outstanding as per individual use of card.

All icici gemstone cc are under one credit account. Its written in on-boarding mail and welcome letter. Idk why platinum cc is in that account. But it shouldn't be a problem. Anyway isn't it's easier to maintain less accounts. You can pay the due once not thrice. Anyway confirm that with customer care.

After receiving Sapphiro dual variant through alumni, for peace of mind, I raised request on twitter icici customer to connect with team for LFT confirmation.

Got call within few hours that both cards are LTF & received email confirmation too. 😄

You won't be provided with the choice... They'll provide you with one on their own

I was in same boat as you , I applied on 27th Nov with Vkyc (CIBIL hit ) then a text later after 3 days of Application processing and heard nothing after that till 12th December.
I mailed them for status and reply was my application was incomplete as agent hasn’t filled my employer details ( she wrote my college’s name in place of employer) ; I was told that I will be receiving call for the details updation soon however I never received one.

Being restless and angry over the silly mistake made by an agent , I applied from the link again and received call for application on 13th December.
I told the agent about my earlier application , non-surprisingly she offered to fill new application.

I gave go-ahead for the same with CIBIL Enquiry Consent Text again but good thing was I got “no CIBIL Hit” 😁😁.
Did Vkyc and everything but this time too I heard nothing from them till 15th evening i.e. Rejection Message.

I was pretty furious and shot off mail to ALUMNI CC and PNO both with asking reason for Rejection ( specified RBI Provisions too).
On 16th Morning Received the approval text.

PS : I held SB Account , APay and Coral Cards so wasn’t NTB.


So , I have elaborated my experience.
Its upto you to decide.

In my case, due to year end, approval by underwriter was delayed. When I asked for status neither customer care mail/call were able to find status. i think the alumni cc is a totally different department. That's why all the confusion.

Even though the guy assisting me was young, he was very helpful. My adhaar linked mobile was blocked. So I was not getting otp. Luckily I found the Sim, did a recharge, then I was able to get otp. The guy was taking update from his side regularly. He had only asked for degree nothing else even though i never had any relationship with the bank. I even slipped and told him my filed itr is low( as I am self employed), he reminded me to say more than 20lpa during vkyc. Hehe

Thanks to this forum, I was able to find out about the Sapphiro LTF alumni offer.


Applied for the card on the institute numbered link on Monday 4th Feb Afternoon.
Got a call from ICICI bank within 2 hours, all details such as address, salary, employment etc were taken on call by the staff.
Then I was sent an OTP for CIBIL enquiry consent, which i shared.

One hour later, i completed vKYC on the link shared by icici bank, along with upload of my institute degree.

After three days of radio silence, I got a message on Friday 9th Feb morning, that my card was approved + another message saying it was dispatched. I received the card today via courier.

This is my first post , just wanted to convey my thanks to all.

Hi guys, I just got approved for dual variant card. I wanted to know if I can take a guest (spouse) along with me for international lounge (since I have two cards and 2 accesses each) or will they restrict the access only to card holders? If so, can I apply for LTF add on card for my spouse that can provide lounge access? How does this work? Kindly help.
