[Resolved] Axis Bank Ace Credit Card not working on Google Pay (Android)

Hi,

I got my Axis Ace Card delivered on 25th October.
I have set it up with Google Pay but every payment I am trying to make with it is failing.
Please refer to the below screenshot for the error that it is showing.

I have tried multiple recharge merchants in Google Pay, I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Google Pay. The problem still persists.
Tried calling Axis Customer care, they are saying everything looks okay from their end.
Also had a chat with Google Pay Support, they are just saying it may be a problem with the card and they are looking into the issue.
Has anybody faced this issues previously? If yes can you please let me know how did you resolve the issue?

P.S. - I have used the Credit Card for payment outside of google pay and it worked. I applied the card through Google Pay only and it seems ironic it doesn't work on the very app which they are using to promote it.

Thanks for this thread. But in my case, I can select the credit card for payments and even after that otp comes and verification also happens smoothly.. It always fails at the last step when it shows " Paying..." and then the above error come up.

Complain to G Pay about this issue

Google Pay can be a derp sometimes. Try buying a gift card for 10rs on Amazon Pay or recharge your Google Play balance for testing purposes. If it works there, attempt your Google Pay transaction tomorrow.

Tried this yesterday. It worked on Amazon. But same issue with Google Pay. Google Pay

Only pre approved offer from axis Bank or invitation from G pay then you can apply axis Ace credit card

In pre-approved section of app, is the card instantly approved if applied from there ? Or there would be kyc and other usual stuff ?

If you're an existing axis Bank customer then I guess vkyc is enough nahi to pura verification bhi ho sakta hai

I was not a existing Axis Bank Customer, I got the offer through Google Pay only. No document verification was done , only Video KYC and it got approved. I got a limit of 2.75 Lakhs.

Update : Finally from today I am able to make recharges through Google Pay, neither Axis Bank nor Google Pay knew what the issue was. But I guess pestering them for 4 days worked 🤣🤣🤣🤣

When did you get the offer?
