That's what happens in all banks.In my experience for ICICI the monthly balance is taken as average for whole month and does not punish if it dips below for a couple of days. I have had less than required amount for a week sometimes but no penalty was given as the rest of the month the account had much more than the minimum requires. We can also check the monthly average balance in iMobile.
If this is the only issue then for ICICI account you can pay the credit card amount and not worry if for the rest of the month the account had healthy balance.
I think other banks also consider it the same way but better to be sure.
