Hi. Just wanted to know how much time after getting a cc the limit gets updated in cibil. Coz I have noticed that limit of new card is on the basis of highest limit updated in cibil. Don't know if this is correct or not ?
Any insights on this would be helpful. Thanks.

Most probably within 2 to 3 months. Card detail with assigned limit updated in CIBIL.
Your second line is not clear in your post. What is it for ?

Like -
I have a card with limit 80k showing in cibil. And also a relatively new card with 1L which is not shown in cibil. I applied for a new card which gave a limit of 75k. So I guessed that it was due to the fact that 80k limit was shown in cibil whereas 1L was not there.

Every card you have , their detail would be updated in CIBIL within 2-3 monts max..Is Any of the card you are holding is from HDFC?

Yes have a card from hdfc also. Been 2 months but not updated in cibil.

Earlier HDFC doest not report you credit limit to CIBIL instead of Limit they are reporting the highest utilised limit to CIBIL.Starting from may they will report the actual credit limit to CIBIL.

Sometimes banks report instantly else they can take too long. For example, HDFC updated the card even before first bill due. While my axis card is in its 4th bill cycle and it's still not reported.

SBI reported my cashback card even before it's fist statement was generated. But after that I received 3 limit enhancements on diff. cards. Yet to see it on my reports. These banks do it at their own comfort.
