Yes, an account may be opened, but whether company will deposit salary in that bank or not depends on the payroll software they use and other things, so that is why its still better to check with HR team first

My company is providing the flexibility to shift salary credit to any account that I have.

Can I approach any bank branch to open a salary account directly by going to branch?

I read somewhere on this forum that some credit card offers were only available if company tie up is present. Is there any such limitation to the facilities the account provides if there is no tie up?
