By mistake, i clicked on one banner in Zomato app, which said "not happy with this change, close card". And it got processed without any extra confirmation.

Today got a message saying ur card is blocked as per cancellation request and our team will contact in 3-5 days😅.

I will try to push for RBL world safari card, although my limit and spend is too less😂.

I got the World Safari approved FYF and I had only spent 1120 on my card ever since it was issued. Funnily, it was issued 2 weeks just before this announcement. 😂😂😂

They will definitely process your request since they don't want to lose customers once they have already onboarded them.

Today is 15th May. Logged in to the RBL app to check whether the RBL Zomato card is being shown as Shoprite. As of now the RBL Zomato part has got greyed out but not yet showing as Shoprite. Guess the transition is still in process in the app.

HDFC ki aapni classification hai MCC ki.

Mujhe DC pe offer aaya thha last year 5k ka spend karo aur 250 cashback

Eligible spend thha Grocery spend only

My Txn is counted under MCC 5411 which belongs to "Grocery Stores, SuperMarket"

So as per MCC i did Grocery Spend only.

HDFC deny the cashback and told me 5411 belongs to Supermarket not grocery.

As per HDFC other Similar MCCs belongs to Grocery but the Main MCC -5411which has Description "Grocery Store,Supermarket"
does not belong to Grocery

MCC ka chakkar babau bahiya

To classify the txns into Departmental Stores Txns, Grocery and Supermarket txns ,dedicated MCCs are available.


Banks use their kabh kbhi use hone wala Brain and Pick up few Similar MCC and Group them under Departmental Stores or Grocery or Supermarket according to their wish

For example other Banks Consider txns under MCC 5411 as Grocery Spends but anokhelal HDFC consider txns under MCC 5411 as Supermarket Spends not Grocery Spends
