Does hdfc bank do hard cibil inquiry if asked for manual LE

I currently hold an HDFC DCB credit card. I wanted to know if HDFC bank does a hard inquiry to CIBIL for a request to LE. I heard that axis does this.

Yes last month I got le in axis with enquiry
Today applied le with hdfc by sending form will update u later

I think any bank will do hard enquiry if LE isn't pre-approved..

Yes there will be hard enquiry.

They mention it in their mails.

By default, any request for LE causes a hard enquiry since the bank will need to know whether to upgrade the limit based on various factors, one of which is CIBIL.

How does one request a LE with HDFC ?
There online portal shows no limit enhancement for me.

You can go to the HDFC branch and ask for LE form. That's the easiest and most cumbersome way.
Alternatively you can email them.
Last option is to approve if you have a pre-approved offer, which they communicate to you via Netbanking, SMS or Email.

I am not aware of any online link through which you can initiate the process for LE.

There was no enquiry when I asked for limit enhancement for hdfc cc. Limit increased after sending income docs via email.

I sent the docs last week via email and got a reply to send all of them printed attested and send along with a letter mentioning the request number to their Chennai office

Escalate the issue, they will give an exception and tell you to mail.

I check it daily and there was no enquiry for limit increase. I have cibil subscription.
