Lets see, will wait atleast 10-12 days then have to go branch.

They will ask proof for different address.
Some banks like bob,pnb give option for different address while account opening. I didn't observe in IOB.
What's wrong in trying? Try once

After account is successfully opened, do online re kyc.Then it has the option to change address, no proof asked.
Aadhaar address will be permanent, in mailing address you can put as u wish.

After 12, u can schedule vkyc, agent will call u and send u link for vkyc

As far as I am aware, IOB doesn't do Half KYC accounts (e.g. Kotak 811). Both Branch based physical KYC and Video KYC are considered full KYC accounts. Earlier there used to be a process wherein Cheque book/Debit Card was collected from the Branch but in recent times it had changed. Perhaps for certain processes (Card upgrade), the same process exists.

But my account is Digital insta account and opened online without video kyc. Internet banking etc. working and I've applied dc thru it. Received an email after opening the account that I have to visit branch to do full kyc. People here told that i can operate account without visiting branch atleast for 1 year.

Got it, just checked the Digital Insta account feature. I wasn't aware of it earlier. Sorry about that. Yes, for half KYC account the timeline is 1 year. Before that you have to visit your Branch to do full KYC (Re-KYC).

When I'm joining still it says "kindly wait for bank employee to join."

All goes smoothly stuck on VKYC.

I have been receiving lot of dms regarding IOB account opening process and for RSDC.
So putting everything in one thread.

Account opening process
1. Open this link

Choose account variant - SAVINGS ACCOUNT - PUBLIC
its mab is very low 100/200 only without chequebook

2. Fill all ur personal details.
UnTick debit card
Untick chequebook
Tick netbanking and mobile banking

3. Submit application and do video kyc.

4. U will receive user id password of netbanking in the mail after account opening usually takes 3 to 1week.

5. In netbanking, apply rupay select debit card.
Rupay select dc fee 800JF/800AF

Trick to get RSDC at low price
Untick dc while opening account.
login into netbanking and apply rupay classic at 150+gst.
After 4 5 days , Use debit card upgrade option in netbanking or app from rupay classic to rupay select.
Upgrade fee only 350+gst

Overall 150+350 = 500+gst instead of 800+gst.
300 saved in joining fee


Overall 800 fee RSDC at 100/200mab is a great choice

The new iob connect app is modern and refreshing.
Screenshot not allowed. Net banking is very old, looks like from 1980s.

Do they need location permission while running the app or using the upi in IOB connect ??

Got an agent yesterday but video call was not connecting. Tried with different phone same problem. Today again same problem. Fu3k, did BOB vkyc few days ago not problem at all. IOB is shit bank.

Meanwhile few years ago I did ICICI account vkyc using a laptop, was totally smooth no issue at all.
