ITR processing delay. "Has your ITR been processed yet?"

They are processing ITR according to ITR filling and verification date.

At least, for my family;
Two of my family members filled and verified ITR on 15th July, Now, processed on 20 August ( with refund, ITR 1)

One of my family members, filled and verified on 17th July, processed on 21 August (nill refund ITR 2)

My ITR was filled and verified on 31th July, still processing ( ITR 4, nill refund)

Thanks for sharing this. I submitted and verified ITR 2 (with refund) on 25th July. Let's see if it will be processed by next weekend.

Atleast after nearly a month they have started processing ITR in large numbers. Hope in next 10 days, all backlog is cleared by Aug 31st.

I received the intimation SMS and Email today for my ITR which was filed and verified on 31 July. ( ITR 4, self assessment tax, Nill refund)

Though website has not changed the ITR status from Processing ➡️ Processed. But I believe it will be done shortly.

It will be done by tomorrow morning or Monday morning. In some cases website status took 30-45 days to update. You need not to worry what status shows there. Your intimation has been provided.

Seems like ITR 1 batches are preferred first.

Edit: 12 ITR 1 out of 15 had refunds ranging from 5581 to 61600.

1xITR 2 had refund of Rs.23510. 1xhad Rs.36303.

All 3 ITR 3 had tax payment and Nil refund. Out of 6 left, 4 has refunds.

Don't know but conicidentally old regime ones are stuck while new regime itr 2 processed. ITR 2 processing is too slow. But it will gain momentum after Sep 15.

The Nil refund ITR and ITR 1 are processing fast while refund one in ITR 2/3/4 taking lot of time.

Maybe I am just thinking but it could be due to HRA it might be waiting for the other person to file itr also and process there's 1st

ITR 1 processing same day / instantly and some people got refund also by evening.

Real test is for other ITR which don't have this auto-processing with them. It will be done in near future but currently AO assesses ITR 2 and upwards and only after s/he is satisfied, s/he send back it to CPC for processing.
