Can u tell when was 150+ gst for classic was deducted from ur account, like on the day when u received account details on mail or later

in my case, it was deducted as soon as I requested for rupay classic. First I tried applying card without funding the account and error came that not sufficient balance and after adding funds, it deducted 177 instantly after I applied the card.

I had ticked for dc at the time of account opening itself and was hoping they would apply classic as default.

After receiving account details, I funded the account and same day received msg that card will delivered in 7-10 days

Its insta digital something. opened without VKYC. have to visit branch for kyc but account is active and working.

No idea when fee will debit.

So they are issuing rpdc as default now.
So its better to untick debit card and apply classic manually and then upgrade
Will change post too

it didn't show me option to tick debit card while opening account. just net banking and mobile banking. The link given in the post didnt work for me then Ram bro gave me another link and i used that.

If account is active and working. Dont do kyc lol.
Rsdc will devalued within 1year and ur. Account will be auto closed after 1year due to no full kyc

corrected : upgrade charges will be 350 +gst 😛

I directly applied rsdc and got debited 944,then i realised upgrade trick myself and posted here for the benefit of community members.

No if u upgrade only 350 charges

@Ram1 @zomatoo In IOB app I can see that they have issued rupay platinum card instead of classic 🥲
However, fee is not deducted yet and there is an option in app to replace card, after clicking replace it gives option to select all variant cards including rupay select.
If I go ahead with replace card and select rsdc then will fees for this rpdc be charged?

Just to be clear these are the charges in case of upgrade

It's not like charges for upgrade 350 plus gst then start to levy joining or issuance fee

They charge upgrade fee for issuance. No joining fee.
Next year, annual fee of 944 will be applicable

I tried the replace feature and selected rsdc.
It throws an error saying "status change not allowed from I to D" 😑

Now have to follow the original plan of upgrading via net banking

Lounge access already devalued in IOB, Spends based lounge access now.
