Revision in HDFC HNW Programme Eligibility Criteria w.e.f July'25

Though Preferred is not of much use, I still made some benefits out of it.

Since my Account was Preferred, I opened my wife's account and clubbed in Family banking. So she got Preferred account with zero balance and a free Platinum Preferred Easyshop card which was useful for cashback on CC payment upto Rs 750 per month.

Got LTF DCP card offer on my wife's account so took that as the lounge access is good. I used my DCP in USA as it provides 2 international lounge access per quarter only on Rs 15k spends.

Withdrew around 10 Lakh cash from both the accounts as there is no charge upto 5 Lakh per month. Even the cashier and other bank employees were saying there are charges if you withdraw above 2 Lakh cash from a savings account. I showed them the Preferred banking benefits but they were still like old government employees saying No, there will be charges. I said give me the cash, levy any charges you want but RBI is there if the bank levies any charges :hehe:

Another good use for me is free IMPS transfer.

All this is done to get revenue on IMPS/CASH transactions which was free in preferred account. 🤣

This is the level of intelligence left in HDFC bank. I will straight up transfer my salary account to something else just to mess with these f**ks

Debit cards would still be free in classic so that's not a big deal.

The updated terms and conditions for the preferred banking program.

On the contrary, based on my experience with Imperia (and equivalent relationship levels at other top Indian banks), HDFC has much better, more streamlined and more professional banking experience amongst Indian banks.
.
I have an Infiniti account with HDFC. For me, it is pathetic. Will close the account soon.

I am currently having Imperia account. However most of the time I do not maintain required AMB. However I have my parents account seperately with HDFC (Preferred) and togather probably I could maintain AMB of 10L. When checking with bank to group my parents account with my account, they are saying that if they group then I need to maintain 30L as Balance / FDs. I assume that by RM and BM are bluffing about the requirement. Can someone in this group confirm this? If I group my parents accounts with my HDFC Imperia account - the AMB requirement is still going to be 10L clubbed across the accounts right? And my parents accounts will also be upgraded to Imperia.? Please confirm.
