Suggestions for rupay select debit card?

Hi,

This is going to be my first RSDC, I mainly wanted it for gym benefits as my gym subscription with cultfit is ending this month. So i will be needing 3 cards for utilizing the benefits for a year, since the benefits are quarterly. I can pay the yearly charges for the card, but cant maintain large sum like 50k. i am looking for accounts within 5000 minimum balance. Doesnt necessarily have to be online, i can visit branch.

Atleast for bob I read the gym offline is 30 days per quarter. Gym at home is 90 days.

Major PSBs have effectively made their savings accounts as zero balance for the time being

I opened 3 accounts recently in Canara + JANA + CBI.
I consider Canara to be the best bcoz of ..FYF, easy online a/c opening, 2000 mab. (Although card delivery may take 15 day approx)

And though charges are less for Jana (5000 mab), but offline a/c opening is a hassle, sometimes servers dont work there, faced OTP issues.

Anyways if you're looking to get 3 cards, you'll have to pay 1k approx fee for one of them (considering you get 2 others for which charges are less), so Canara could be one of the top three.

Fort CBI, a/c gets open online (2000 mab) , but will have to visit to do physical a/c opening as well, and they'll also visit your house (verification) in case of online a/c opening. Better visit branch and open it. Then for app activation you'll need a token and will have to visit again, thru app you can apply for RSDC. (took 10 days to deliver)

So overall this combo can be a good choice for you too, cheers!

Most banks issuing RuPay Select Debit Card but it requires around Rs. 1 lakh minimum quarterly balance. Unfortunately, there are few popular cards offering the Select variant with minimum balance as low as Rs. 5,000.

Canara doesn't require that much qtr. Balance

To clarify, the Rs. 1 lakh minimum balance requirement applies mostly to premium savings accounts linked with RuPay Select Debit Cards offered by some banks. This is not the standard for all such cards across banks. Yes Canara Bank provides RuPay Select Debit Card with a much lower minimum balance requirement, as low as Rs. 1,000 in basic savings accounts.

Okay thanks, got your point, but there are lot of options already with less MAB to get RSDC so no point in opting for any premium savings accounts.
