How & which card to upgrade from SCB Digismart credit card?

Hi, one of my family member is holding Standard Chartered Digismart credit card from last 2 years. The credit limit is around 2.75 lakh. Since it’s an entry level card, what card would you recommend to upgrade to (preferably an LTF card) in the SCB range of cards? What’s the best method to upgrade?

LTF is close to impossible with SCB.
You can apply any SCB Card except Ultimate/Visa Infinite as a second card. You will get it without any cibil enquiry.

The only LTF card that StanC gives is Platinum Rewards Credit Card which is useless except bank offers. This is LTF for very few people, my father got it as LTF. You cannot get Ultimate as the minimum credit limit required to get Ultimate is 4L. Since your limit is 2.75L you can get is the Manhattan credit card, which does not have good returns and has higher annual fees than DigiSmart.

best is to keep using the DigiSmart card and when your limit exceeds 4L call customer care and then ask them to upgrade your card to StanC Ultimate.

Few banks in my opinion,

Citi, SC, SBI, YES

are very conservative with limit enhancements compare to other banks.

You'll get upgrade/switch to Smart card but based on my experience with SC 80% sure that they won't increase limit just like that, you need to provide higher income than existing to get the enhancement but for that upgrade not necessary unless you really want that card otherwise just send them mail with latest income docs about limit enhancement.
makes sense, I was actually checking the eligibility for upgrade to various cards on their website, and by mistake I applied for an upgrade to this card. Any idea if it can be undone? Do you call before accepting the request or if its accepted, they dispatch the card directly?

Oh No, I really don’t want to use the new one :( If I don’t activate, do I still need to pay the annual charges in the first month?
guess smart is FYF. also i think you should be able to cancel that by calling customer care. As long as new card is not showing up in the App, they should be able to do it I believe.

Sure, let me get it and check the limit, if it’s miraculously higher than the existing card, I will close the old one. If same, I will get the new one cancelled.
