yes agreed, there is always a cost of convenience and a question of view point. for most people, a car or a high end mobile would never give the return of investment, but they still go for them. Over last 9 years, I have got about 10K prints (half of that during covid) and even more scans. So I guess it also paid off for me in terms of at least original cost.
It's true that, internet is the primary source of internet but it's also true that most cafe computers are badly infected. At home we generally have Anti Virus and if someone doesn't they are at very high risk.

Did you research on OLED TVs ? Do they have burning or green line issues like OLED smartphones?
I’ve heard that OLEDs have burning problem, which is why they use flickering displays (not noticed by the naked eye).

If you current TV is functional and display quality is good enough then buy a amazon fire stick and enjoy android tv experience. It’s not worth buying a new TV just because old is not smart TV
Amazon fire stick working-can u explain a bit, I mean, with that i can watch any streaming platform? Does it comes with those voice controlled remotes (I saw one in my colleagues home, she just said Open DD NEWS on you tube, and it opened instantly without any hassle, her TV’s price was around one lakh she said).
First check your existing tv has HDMI port then fire tv stick can work with it. And yes it comes with voice operated remote which works fine. Mostly all common streaming apps are available in fire tv store
Yes Amazon fire stick does everything . Your old TV acts like a monitor, everything by fire stick. Google any YT vids to see how it works.
I used a firestick 4 years with my old LCD TV before the LCD panel died. For effective use of firestick you will need Amazon Prime subscription and subscriptions to all other streaming platforms that you want to watch. It runs on modified android OS (Fire OS). The remote supports voice control. If you have a echo device registered to same amazon ID, you can even control the firestick with voice control through the echo. You old TV must have HDMI input support. You can also connect to any bluetooth enabled sound system/soundbar for better experience.
