U may get multiple calls in between (some from genuine SBI CC team and some from scammers/spammers too). Keep ur mobile phone on. If u miss 2 or more genuine calls it may lead to delay/rejection. I faced the same waiting game during SBI TNI application. In between got 2-3 calls from agents trying to miss sell me SBI simplyclick, 2-3 random calls from different parts of the country(I was just amazed how easily our data gets leaked after applying for a CC). Finally got the call to split limit from my existing SBI CC. That is the final green signal that u have got it approved.

Even for split limit they do hard enquiry?

And how do one figure out genuine from scam calls ?

No separate hard enquiry for the split limit per se. I applied through sprint directly. During the application there was hard enquiry. Although there was no vkyc required because I had recently got approved for SBI CB 6 months back. Had to do ekyc during 1st or 2nd verification call with the agent by signing on a link.

I don't have existing SBI CC. So there will be no call for limit split. So, which final call can tell that it's approved?

That is the real question🤣. One any other day I would just ignored these calls but since I had applied for the CC so I had to face these people. One lady claimed to be speaking from SBI CC team(although her broken english gave away immediately) tried forcing me to get SBI Simplyclick card. I tried to explain her that I have already applied for SBI TNI and waiting for approval. She said there is "no SBI TNI card" in the market only HDFC TNI. Thats when I knew she was some 3rd party CC agent and not genuine SBI CC agent. She hadnt done her homework well😂.
The circus didnt end even after card approval. Immediately after getting SBI TNI approval msg I got a call from another agent trying to miss sell me the CC insurance worth around Rs.2k saying that it was mandatory. Because I had read about this scam specifically in TF before so I immediately cut the call. Another agent tried to force me to apply for add on card to my SBI TNI saying that it is free now but if I apply for addon card in future then it will be chargeable. I said "no thanku" and cut the call.
If we apply from banknazaar/any 3rd party apps we can expect calls from more of these clowns trying to miss sell/ cross sell.

After u have signed the ekyc and attended 2-3 genuine calls from SBI, u will get a final call from their CC dept. telling u about the approval. U will also get msg in ur mobile. That would be the final (genuine) call.

That's very strange for me. I applied through Bankbazaar yesterday. Not a single call from anyone yet except one genuine SBI verification call. Seems like Bankbazaar employees are enjoying their long weekend.

True caller pe show hota hai
 
I had applied yesterday for select got a call today it is approved but the only kyc option they had was via digilocker which I don’t use.
I asked them about alternative they said go to branch on Monday and call us it will be done.
Let’s see if that works.
