Overleverage ??? ?? 🤨
Overleverage is valid reason. Even other banks like Unity Roar bank has started rejecting due to overleverage issue. With the rising credit card default rates in all banks and RBI tightening the norms, I feel that more banks will start doing the same. But in HDFC just to increase credit limit they want us to post everything physically to their chennai office and wait for their reply. Their onboarding process is also a hit or a miss. Inspite of having 2 credit cards they want to do home verification for approving 3rd card. In SBI I just did a Rs.1 Transaction from my savings account and the SBI CB card got approved in 5min. Likewise their Tata neu Infinity card was approved on shared limit without any hassle. For a person starting their credit card journey, and hence no overleverage issue, SBI's onboarding process is way better.

Also they only issue 3 cards means normal person will take -

SBI simply click or save for bank offers
SBI cashback
SBI phonepe

No space for other card
As others pointed out, SBI phonepe and Tata neu r valid for bank offers. So time to close simply click/save. SBI CB+Phonepe/Tataneu will cover all the benefits.

What if i feel I'm unjustly overleveraged according to just a single financial entity's algorithm but not the same for others????
