What is meant by UPI pin? Does it mean txn is considered upi or online card ?

While paying Utility & insurance bills, it's asking us to enter the pin of CC which we set when we register on the phonepe app. In my transactions history, it is shown as "UPI-Phonepe". Our friends say there is also OTP method.

I applied for my father who is self employed.
First SBI card for him and no relationship with sbi, used my sbi referral code when applying
Applied via sprint link given by Abhishek012 , initially have hiccups as the website did not load, after a day, the portal got worked.
completed bank verification, hdfc new NetBanking ui not supported (mostly transactions are there here) but I tried indusind, axis but the bank representative told , the transactions are either less or the values are less than 20,000, so i thought it's rejection, I gave union Bank where only home loan transactions + house rent transactions are there.
I thought since the transactions are only rent and loan, and I said self employed, it would definitely rejected.
After few min , executive called and said it's done , proceed with vkyc , and after that one more representative called and verified all details
Almost I felt the kyc was done like 3-5 times.
At the end the card is approved, Waiting for physical card

So you have got the 10% reward points for using card through upi in phonepe ?
I used it from OTP but reward points received were 1% only. Hoping to get remaining reward points on statement generation. 🤞

Received 10% points for fastag recharge done by upi. Overall reward rate is 9.22% after deducting convenience fees.

Excluding it's 8% for utilities,
9% for insurance,

After 90 days, today I applied for SBI card again but this time PhonepeSelect.
Got the application number but showing invalid number.
I tried for my wife & same issue.
So, SBI is maha chu...tiya bank. Atleast tell what's the issue or not approved something.

Same happened with me, someone called and did the process offline for my wife

I saw multiple post on this issue. Seems this is not new and happening from 2023 itself.
This the way of going through offline way. --> They will get the lead online and process the application offline.
One more thing I observed is --> getting call from agent who don't even know English & upon politely asking, she just disconnects the call.
I would say --> Maha chu...tiya bank.
