Most happening scam at Branches - Be aware

This is regarding the Insurance/schemes related while opening offline account.

So this week, I visit the branch of Bank of xxxxxxxx and asked boy to give me account opening booklet. I was filling, suddenly shocked to see 4 forms of different schemes attached like pension scheme, ppf, insurance etc...
I asked what are these ,i dont want. He said its govt bank, these are mandatory to open bank account. I dont want i said.

Then he told me to ask Deputy BM ,i asked him just i want account, no need schemes. He said atleast 1 is mandatory sir. Do u have circular regarding that? I dont want any schemes , will u open or not? I asked

He then asked office boy to remove those 4 pages from booklet.
And opened account without any schemes.

I feel bad for old age people, uneducated people who are opening accounts in that branch. Literally 4 unwanted forms got attached to account opening form. They dont have any ethics.
Hope they pay price for the unethical things they are doing

So Be aware and read every form before opening account. Dont belive in their words,nothing is mandatory.

This should brought to RBI attention. Very serious issue, many uneducated people are loosing money with schemes they aren't aware

This happens at almost all SBI branches—they sell PM-APY and PM-JJBY by telling customers that both are mandatory for opening an SBI bank account. An SBI PO was saying this to a customer right in front of me few months ago.

Same for Canara bank too. They added those forms without my consent which I later removed.

In SBI it's even worse. The deputy BM told someone he can't upgrade account as the regular savings account needs money for govt scheme in front of me. Damn. That person went home without account upgrade.

my car loan manager in Indian bank directly put the form along with loan documents but he mentioned that's for NPS or some scheme. I politely declined saying I already have and he was like okay cool.

Happened at Central Bank of India too. Forms of 3 schemes were attached to account opening form. Declined 2. Took one - an insurance with ₹30 per year premium

I dont want to defame a single bank because I know its happening in all psu banks

How are you all guys so cool with it? I felt what an escape when I realised the scam.
Just for 500rs annual fee of a cc, we spend a lot ,calculates a lot,tries for retention wtc..
But when it comes to accounts why no body much cares about them? Like dc fees, mab fee, such unwanted insurance charges, sms alerts charges etc..

Just for the publicity, they removed mab charges and proudly announced it. This is the real change they should brought first i feel

But one thing, they dont want to serve customers, always tries to scold and sends away saying weird reasons. So we can forget these schemes from them

This happened with me in Indian bank as well.

I said I don't want, but said compulsory hai. I said okay, mai nhi khulwara account. Apne aap unhone hata diye 🙂
