SBI Cashback card scam

Hi,
I have been using the SBI Cashback card for around 2-3 years. Suddenly I am noticing a mismatch the cashback amount.
Check my statement:

I am ignoring the recharge transactions on Amazon and Jio. The amount 900 is buying amazon gv from Amazon. Is it in restricted category? I received only 527 as cashback.
Customer care denied to provide a transaction wise cashback list.

Can anyone guide?

Ask the CC to provide MCCs of all those txns. It would be easy to figure which fell under 5% and which on 1%

Using spend analyser in app then asking for mcc makes sense right

Gift cards (at least agvs) on amazon always rewarded 5%.

Will it work?

No need of any code. I can just calculate like this.

Looks like the 900rs didn't earn 5%. The other 7028, 2925 did earn 5%.
Few of The amazon gurgaon seems to be bills so dont expect 5%.

Better to ask for all the mccs.

Only transaction wise cashback list can guide you. Now a days customer care of sbi card became too much "you can use any slang here".

I have faced same refusal from sbi several times. There are two ways to get it.
1. Reply them that few months back you received the same from sbi.
2. Or send them a fresh mail again and again for the same till the goal is achieved.

Also mention in mail that you are asking for it as per RBI guidelines. Name of RBI works.

I did buy 5K on 12th July and 10k on 7th July, both did fetch 5%.

In latest June bill for SBI cashback, didn't get cashback on gift card purchases on Magicpin and TataNeu. Both usual merchant names -

30 May 25 TATA DIGITAL PVT LTD MUMBAI IN
31 May 25 SAMAST TECHNOLOGIES PR GURGAON

I think earlier both these were giving cashback.


Confirmed MCC is 5947.

I think earlier both these were giving cashback.

That thread shows all the D'oh moments where SBI CB didn't earn 5% CB but no mention of amazon app.
Exactly like my 10th class social paper, wrote everything that came to mind but not answered the actual question.
