Notwithstanding a lot of TF members being extremely unhappy with Axis, my/our experience with Axis (n Kotak) is really good to exceptionally good.

Never had any problem with them. Axis gave me a total of 7 cards till now (4 closed n 3 live). NEVER ever had any issue in the process.

On the other hand, despite being a VRS Optee as AGM-IT-SYSTEMS in SBI and using over 10 different SBI Cards ever since SBI introduced cards in 80s, SBI never gave me LTF card till date, never gave me pre-approved cards n never gave my any card on application - like everyone else. My application for Apollo Card is not approved till now, Reliance card not approved till now, AirIndia card not approved till now.
Despite speaking to their CC care team.

Contrast that with what I m getting from Axis or Kotak or Federal or ICICI.

I took this Axis Amex card now because, I shall be closing my AMEX MRCC shortly.

A month ago, pre-approved section. At that time, I had Airtel and Ace card. Recently closed the Ace card; no use for me.
So, which means axis is now ready to distribute privilege card as LTF .. thanks for the info..
I read this recently elsewhere..just wanted to confirm from you..

And Axis privilege card on amex network is almost nothing comparable to amex core MRCC.. they both serve different purposes..

I know. I was having AMEX gold n green cards for over 10-12 years earlier.

As we had become Seniors (now 65), both sons are not allowing us to spend on high-value expenses - like air/train tickets, holidays, gifts for family/relatives functions, house repairs, properties maintenance.... They are spending on these.

We are left with only low-value spending on JioMart, BB, BlinkIt, Zepto, diesel n power bills.

When in USA, we are not allowed even to spend 1 dollar. The only expenses for us is when we visit temples there, we drop our offerings in the Hundis. All other expenses, kids handle.

Lucky to have such kids...

So, AMEX card is not fitting in this scheme of things - like our RuPay cards. So, MRCC had to go.

True sir. Even I was sceptical about opening axis account after reading horror stories about its "consolidated charges" and poor customer service. But my experience with Axis has been nothing but awesome. Axis has good tech like ICICI and great credit cards like HDFC. So perfect blend of both.

Sure. One doubt though, would it make sense to get amex version as well after already having visa variant?
Not at all...unless you want to use once a month swiggy offer of 150 off 600(excluding tax) on Saturdays.. this is the only feature that this card is having.. but even Neo beats this card in this perspective..
Neo has 120 off 500 twice a month on any day of the month on Tomato....

U already have a credit card and logged in axis app and then clicked on apply button from app?
No, I did it from the website. In the app it doesn't load through the apply now button due to some issue. It asked me to visit the bank. So, I just checked on the website and when I tried to filter the cards based on variant, there was no amex option available.
