good luck finding a non-metro branches (including urban/semi-urban). even customer care kinda implied they only have branches there.

2 Months back jana opened its first ever branch in our state. But 60km away from me.
That city is not having metro.
So that branch should be non metro

2 3 zero balance variants they mentioned over there. One might be bsbda

Can be opened only via branch.

Raised call back request from that newly opened branch through X.
Today got call from branch, he's saying lowest is metro savings account with 5k mab.
I asked where is metro in this city? He replied Its account variant name sir ,we cant do anything.

What about regular savings account with 2k mab i asked. He replied its not there, whats in the 2k 3k more sir? We are giving more interest in SA and FD than other banks blah blah blah.

I finally told, I'm not interested in 5k account, if regular savings account is available, do call me back we will open 2 accounts and cut the call

Jana employees are not keen on opening accounts, not had a great experience from my first encounter with a Kalyani Branch Jana Employee. @Sahil_07's RM was helpful, but I am not getting time to visit the branch and open a new account. The branch is almost 40KM away.

I dont want to waste my energy, that branch is 60kms away from me. So better to leave it and look for alternative.

BOI 500 qab 800fee is better than jana 2000/5000mab 500fee.

My branch person told me lowest mab is 5k in jana.
