Is payment on UPI considered online or offline?

Pretty stupid to ask but since I noticed the Pop UPI app mentioning the pop card gives more coins for online payments than on offline I was wondering...if UPI payments via scan and pay are considered online pay since you need data to make the payment..right?

Uh...dude it can't be separate because to make payment on upi it has to be done either online or offline like in your credit card.

So how can UPI be categorized if you end up with a credit card like the POP card?

Transactions are usually considered "Online" when you make a payment on a website or through a payment link. Scan and Pay transactions at offline stores are generally considered as "Offline".

My answer is wrong.. website payment via upi app or paid for QR generated online are considered online. Just noticed This in kiwi app.
