DCB HDFC DCB add-on card for international lounge access

Hi,
I am planning to give an add-on card to my sister, just for international lounge access.
But I am worried since I have heard international transactions don't require OTP. what all things I can do to make sure card is secured?
also,

1. do lounge access internationally require us to put our pin?
2. Can I just turn on Merchant Outlet Usage in international transactions and set limit to 1000 Rs and give her the card for lounge access and turn off all the rest (online, tap& pay, atm etc)?

have 3 adds on for DCB
1. pin not required AFAIR, if you want to set pin, use mycard web app of hdfc
2. yes. Did the same with all add ons

Yes, DCB always works for successive swipes for primary and add on cards.

Not always. I had faced issues at Vietnam and Paris. Whereas the Add on having same number worked at Singapore & Bali airports. Never faced any issues at Domestic lounges.

Oh ok. That is bad. Why can't they write a small logic to differentiate the cards? I have used in Dubai, Frankfurt, Singapore, etc and it was working. I should have a back up then

AFAIK that is not allowed. It will not allow within 2 hours I think.

used DCB metal and add on card for lounge in Vietnam last month

They just checked eligibility, no amount was deducted and no Pin was required.

Yes. At these lounges they don't admit primary and addon card holders simultaneously if the card number is same.

I think you can try to activate the digital PP if that's allowed.
I got upgraded to Infinia and also got the add-on cards with different numbers.
