Kotak 811 Infinity Metal Debit Card – Unboxing & First Impressions

Can someone wise just point out the caveats of availing this metal debit card offer for NTB customers? There's so much chatter around it that important info is getting missed.

Is it a zero balance account?
Does 81K IP need to be maintained throughout?
Does metal debit card incur GST reversal when using this offer to open this account?
Do we need to maintain the strategy of 5k monthly investment to this account to maintain super account status or the initial funding should do it.
Will the metal card be chargeable from next year?
Is there any 300/400rs fees for joining this account if we do IP of 81k?

I think if someone can answer these based on experience, it will be helpful once and for all who are thinking to avail this offer.

Account will be zero balance for life .
Metal debit card will be LTF untill you are a super member .
Fees till 31 May is 300 , from june1 it will be 399.
For metal debit account account should be opened offline with initial funding of 81100 , after it can be withdrawn .. account will be zero balance .
However, 5000 monthly credit is to be done to be eligible for 500 cashback .

If you revoke super subscription next year annual fee of metal debit card 999 will be deducted.

That's what I think as well.
But bro, I've not been personally doing thee credit each month and still getting cb on offline trnx. Not sure about others, and still didn't get cb for jan or feb I don't remeber.

Although there are no extra benefits over 811 super, I am still thinking of getting this for myself as I think my mom's 811 super is due next month, so the fee is going to be same for her and me, so might aswell try what a metal card looks like.
Although it would've been better if they could open this offer to ETB
They are attractive new customers by giving metal debit card .

Its a 0 MAB account with an subscription fee of 300 (including GST)

81K is the Initial IP if you need the metal debit card at 0 charges. In case you want to get the metal dc at full charge, or someother DC then you can open with lesser amount too.

Are you talking about GST reversal of DC charges? If you're opening with 81K IP, then no charges apply and hence no GST would apply.

Deposit of 5K/ month is a criteria for maintaining the 'super' status of the Super 811 A/C. IP of 81K is for getting the metal card LTF with the super 811 A/C.

No, its LTF (at least as of now)

Yes, the fee of 300 (including GST) would still be charged, despite the IP, as the IP and the subscription fee are for two different purposes. At the risk of repetitiveness, (1) the annual fee of 300 + GST alongwith monthly deposit of 5K/ month is to prevent the downgrading of your Super 811 A/C to normal 811 A/C, and (2) the IP of 81K is to make your metal DC LTF.

Hope this helps!

Correction, as far as I remeber 299 is incl. taxes.
When I opened mine when this was new, was charged 299 only.

Best reply! Thanks 🙏

Ohh I misunderstood I thought you have 3 different bank accounts
No no, you were right in that aspect. I am just 19 and already have 3 bank accounts in my own name.
these 4 811 super are of my family members.

HDFC is my primary, got Canara aspire (wanted plat dc, but apay ended), and have AU 0 ball (this was my first account when I turned 18).
I am thinking of closing AU as I don't transact with it anymore as there are no offers on it which beat 811 super, and use AU only to keep my personal CC spends so that I can manage expenses.

Would start using Kotak instead of AU for this.

You're right. Just checked my statement too - I was charged 300 only. Corrected!
Nice. Can you also share your thoughts on the below, thanks
