ICICI Sapphiro Visa/MC to Rupay Conversion is Active Now

Hi everyone, I contacted ICICI customer care and itseems Saphhiro Visa/MC to Rupay conversion is active now. But they are saying that they will cancel existing card/s. I have asked to provide it as an additional LTF card. Lets see. SS attached.


If they do not agree for additional, would it make sense converting and cancelling existing variants?

Update 1: They rejected to provide additional Rupay variant.
"We regret to inform you that as per the bank policy we are unable to provide multiple variants as lifetime free or chargeable."

Update 2: Customer Care informed that Sapphiro Rupay is being issued in Platinum Variant.

Update 3: @Abhishek012 confirmed Sapphiro Rupay is being issued in Select Variant.

Rupay Coral is free or paid. If it’s free, then they should offer Visa-free too.

Earlier they gave free easily - same card on multiple networks. Suddenly they being ICICI they realized there's a big money making opportunity so stopped giving free.

If they are offering you RuPay Sapphiro under LTF, then take it along with your existing Sapphiro (MasterCard + AMEX).

Anyway, it’s not like you’re getting any real benefit from the Sapphiro (MC + AMEX) cards.

the image say's it is on a rupay select card. so people who have received can say - wht are the rupay select benefits it is offering?!

Anyway, it’s not like you’re getting any real benefit from the Sapphiro (MC + AMEX) cards.

So rather than pair of both, it will be Trio of MC+AMEX+RUPAY will going to bite the dust in the drawer 😛 😛

thank you , i was thinking to apply because i don't have any icici-rupay card.. but as it don't have any benefits, will wait for rubxy rupay lft per-approved as it atleast have railway lounge access.

Just apply for credit card from iMobile app, they’ll contact you if your application cud not get through

And did you get a CIBIL hit before or after leaving the application unfinished?

I just filled the Aadhar and pan card details, entered otp and then closed the browser, AFAIK no cibil hit.

Next day executive called me and told me about pre-approved cards
