Does HDFC issue the welcome kit with the debit card and cheque book automatically for a second HDFC account opened online, or do we have to apply for it manually? If the debit card is issued automatically, how many days does it take to be generated and appear in the HDFC app? Also, what is the default variant of the automatically generated debit card?

Everything is issued automatically. Cheque pass dc aur bahut sari books. U ll receive in 7 days. Dc variant depends on ac variant. If u want millenia default den select rural branch n regular savings ac
U can't open 2nd account online have to go offline
Later u can change the saving account varaint if u looking for digi youtg

If you open the second account online then only check book is delivered as part of welcome kit.
Debit card you have to apply that separately from the branch by filling the DC form.
Your existing DC will get linked to your new account until you opt for a new one via branch.
