Need help with Hotel Recommendations - Mysore - ITC or Marriot preferred

So I am planning on a trip with family (wife + toddler) to Mysore in Dec 2024 and need your help/recommendations for selecting the place to stay. Planning to stay for 3 nights and will be travelling by car.

I have useless SC Ultimate card and planning to close it in Jan 2025. I have approx 30K points, which can be redeemed for either ITC Hotel Voucher or Marriot Voucher. But I am new to this hotel bookings and stuff.
Based on my search so far, here is my finding
1. there is no Marriot property in Mysore - is this right?
2. There is only 1 ITC property - Fortune JP Palace Mysore, - is this right?

Also, if these are the only options available for booking through points, I am open to try other hotels as well. is there any other recommendations here?

It would be of great help if someone can answer these queries.

Terms of ITC voucher​

The E-Voucher is valid for spends towards stays (room and incidental charges), food & beverages, home deliveries and takeaways, spa services (for resident guests only), Fabelle boutiques, Sleeep Boutique and applicable taxes at any of the participating hotels.

Terms of Marriott voucher​

  • The customer will need to provide the 16-digit E-Voucher number & the 6-digit E-Voucher that was provided to redeem the E-Voucher either at the time of check in or check out for room accommodation or after availing the services for F&B /Spa services at the participating Marriott Hotels
  • Eligible purchases do not include advanced purchases, deposits, friends and family rates, payments for meetings, catering or group functions, negotiated rates (including volume, group, contracted, or other rates that have been previously negotiated and agreed in writing whether paid on a group or individual basis), and goods/services purchased through or provided by third parties, such as online or off-line travel agents.

Yes, there is no Marriott property in Mysore

ITC is a good option based on location and price. I haven't stayed there so can't comment on hotel and service.

You can also take MMT vouchers (assuming they are e-pay vouchers) and then book using MMT (most options around 4-5k are pretty good.

Thanks for this bro, saved me from world of trouble, so JP Palace is not in the ITC redeemable list, so cant use either of the vouchers from SC.

Any recommendations for stay as all options is now available, budget 5-10K per day

I had wonderful experience at ITC Narmada & ITC Rajputana with my wife & 1 year old child.

Don't know about quality of hospitality Mysore, however ITC can be recommended for family.

thanks bro, leaning towards JP Palace. Windflower and Silent Shores also caught my attention, would love to hear from someone who had been to any of these recently
 
If Accor is you thing, there is a grand mercure and recently opened Ibis.
Mercure may be worth it.

I've heard good things about the Radisson too there.

Ratings, and even otherwise, you cant go too wrong with Regenta, Sarovar Portico or Royal Orchid.

Windflower too may be worth it.

PS: All this is based on my previous considerations ONLY and suggestions by folks who've stayed in the above properties.

Stay away from grand mercure
JP Fortune and Radisson are great options - close to the city and great service.

There is lalith mahal palace you can explore if you are interested in vintage properties
Silent shores is away from city, recommended only if you wish to stay in.

Windflower is great nothing amazing though(it is old)
Check out ivaana resorts, pretty new one.

Recently an Ibis Styles has opened up, though its outside of ring road, you would atleast be able to burn some points on it.

If you want a budget stay and want the best located place for sightseeing
Check out hotel grand serene, its a brand new property and many attractions of the city are at a stone throw distance
If i was a visiting, thats the property i would choose if not radisson

Hi Bro, I had to cancel the DEC month plan in the last minute due to some emergency, planning a trip in next 2 weeks.
We live in a place surrounded by nature, so not looking for resort style place. so ruling out ivaana resorts, windflower, silent shores. lalith mahal looks too costly.
I am considering ibis styles, grand serene, jp fortune and radisson, in that order.
These recommendations still holds or anything else I can consider?

Rule out Ibis Styles, it is too far away from city
Radisson and JP Fortune usually are high priced, even grand serene is almost priced equal to brand hotels these days

New suggestion:
Emora Tree: Many tourist places are located very nearby to it and opened recently

If you want to stay in a palace like feel, check out Lalith Mahal palace hotel

at this rates, JP Fortune is better.
It is located slightly away from chaotic places

Since you have your own car, consider Ibis styles too if you have some accor points to burn.
Its around 10kms from touristy places, 20 mins drive.

as per your itinerary
1. Visit palace in noon and head towards Chamundi hill around 6pm, you can enjoy the drive towards the hill, watch sunset from view point. The temple opens around 7-7.30pm if you wish to visit. (you can skip jaganmohan art gallery, nothing wow but if time permits you, please visit)
2. Try to go to zoo early and book a safari if needed, its a total distance of 2-3 kms if you choose to walk. Visit the aqua world and head towards karanji lake around evening time. (less expectations from karanji lake as it is filled with youngsters/college kids, their hangout spot)
Please don't fall for mysore silk saree scam, buy only from govt shops and these sarees usually cost around 10-12k.
3. awesome, you can add payana if you are driving towards bengaluru then its on the way.
4. If it excites, you can take a drive towards brindavan gardens.

Few eateries you can add
1. RRR biriyani (harsha road)
2. Mylari dosa
3. Poojari's Fishland (blore highway)

Hi, I am from mysore... JP Palace is a good option. It's just 2 km from most of the places you have listed out.. Radisson, though expensive would be a better one as it is located very close to the places you want to visit. Just a minute walk from zoo.
Ginger hotel is more budget friendly option and is located very close to most of the attractions..
