I just got my Jio number activated in December 2023 and today I got a message saying
"We have received a DND complaint for telemarketing/promotional activity from your Jio number 1234567890. This is a violation of TCCCP (DND) Regulations of TRAI. Please stop such activities with immediate effect. Repeated complaints will lead to usage restriction or disconnection of your Jio number.”
Most likely this was done by a Canon Printer Service Technician whom I had called after receiving his number in sms from Canon India.
This is the first time I ever faced something like this, how many violations are allowed against a number? This is my secondary number for using for such calls so that my primary number stays safe from unknown people.
