Should I Take Pre Approved DCP Or Wait For Millennia?

Hello, I opened digisave account around 8 months ago. I am getting LTF DCP pre approved offer. But I am not sure whether to get it or wait for millennia. The reason I can't wait is, I have HDFC Swiggy LTF offer in Swiggy App(which is the card i actually want) But waiting to get core card before getting Swiggy Card. Now I am afraid the LTF offer might change in Swiggy App.

I feel like DCP won't be useful for me apart from core card offers. Since I don't travel much. Also afraid of acceptance, especially I heard Razorpay doesn't accept Diners. But most websites use Razorpay. Imagine a website offers core card offers on HDFC cards, but not able to use it.

Also, I would like to know is it possible to upgrade to core cards like Millennia or Regalia Gold From DCP in future?

Now at this stage when you get millennia LTF, you need to commit to it.. otherwise offers may take reverse course temporarily….
From now onwards, you need to do the same set of transactions aggressively and should include even more other types of transactions ..
All the best
I will absolutely take millennia if provided LTF regardless of limit provided. Hopefully Soon.

I also think it's a glitch because as I said before, in both SMS and Email it's says I have Lifetime Free Offer. But when i check it's showing paid. Should I mail them?

It is even mentioned in email "Lifetime free offer valid till June 9, 2025 | If you're unable to view this offer, please contact us"

HDFC considers DCP higher than Millennia (Moneyback > Millenia > DCP > Regalia Gold > DCB > Infinia). DCP is their primary entry level offering as LTF with all salary and non-vanilla accounts with good transactions. I suggest you take it, wait for a couple of months and ask for a change to Regalia Gold citing acceptance issues. Collect all your non-accepting websites info and use it while applying. They will comply. I have experience doing so. Though it will be issued as FYF and not LTF.

Also, you will hardly face any offline acceptance issues with Diners. Only some old POS machines do not accept it. Online is a different case, of course. All the common big branded portals (Amazon, FK, Myntra, BMS, Swiggy etc.) with their propreitory payment gateways accept it. However small independent websites running third-party branded Payment Gateways (Razorpay, Atom, PayU etc.) usually do not accept Diners. However, if HDFC is running a promo, those PGs will accept it without fail.
I would like to give an update. HDFC does not easily change DCP to Regalia Gold anymore. I've been after them for months now and they are not budging. What they are doing now is offering to downgrade DCP to Millennia VISA to solve acceptance problems! This is even after I spend 75k-1L every month!

It looks like with every passing day HDFC is getting more and more stingy with their credit cards though except for the top two all the rest are absolute garbage in terms of returns.
