Recently travelled to Mahabalipuram and Stayed in Sheraton Grand which is Marriott Bonvoy property located on ECR (East Coast Road) connecting Chennai and Pondicherry. The road itself a visual spectacle, you will have Bay of Bengal to the left during the journey.

Experience:
- This property was chosen just to enjoy the time over there and booking was under Marriott Bonvoy point redemption. This is my second visit to the property, first was in 2022 and again a visit now. As the booking was made not well in advance and plan was sudden had to book it on premium. Usually costs around 22000 MR points to 30000 MR points for the base room. It costed for me around 28K MR Points. Point redemption might give value in the range of 1 MR = Rs 0.5 to 0.75 depending on redemption date.
Check- In:
- During Check in I have requested them for upgrade and they accepted the upgraded to Sea View with Garden (3rd Category). Room was under complimentary breakfast & I am Gold Elite member, again as I have my corporate contacts over there (Usually my business bookings happen bulk over there).
- Overall Checkin process was smooth and the property was very calm and peaceful with stunning Bay of Bengal views and wind over there.

As it was our anniversary and I mentioned during booking and check in, so they have decorated the room and arrange a cake.

Dining:
There are multiple restaurants for dining which offers Buffet, Ala Carte, All Day menu & International Cuisines. (The Reef, C Salt, Nasi & Mee to name a few). We have used IndusInd Indulge card for Dining payments which waived off our bill.
Interesting Info:
This property is mostly used by celebrities for their weddings and events, similar to JW Marriott Mussoorie. ( This is the same property where Nayantara had her wedding which was visited by Kollywood Super Stars)

Recently there was a movie which is released in Tamil (Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam) & Telugu (Jabilamma Neeku Anta Kopama) was shot here only.

Final Verdict:
We have chosen this property just to have convenience of having some leisure time to explore the property. Overall a luxurious & pleasant experience to have a good view of Bay of Bengal views. Marriott Properties never disappoints you.
