My mom had a regalia card which was upgraded from titanium they gave during account opening. Back in 2016 the card was auto closed due to no activity, however the card would still show on netbanking. But on her cibil it was listed as closed account yet rhere was reporting to it every month. In between we had emailed customer care that why an inactive/closed card is showing up on netbanking still they responded that the card has been closed in 2016 and no dues are pending. Netbanking was showing due amount -0.67.
Three days back my mom got a sms and email of the same closed credit card statement. Due date was listed as immediate. Everything like available limit was zeroed out but credit limit and cash limit showed what it was.
Checking transactions there was a transaction
DEAF bal trns casa -0.67
The same amount reflects on her active savings account, however in netbanking the card shows as active. And in my cards the card shows blocked. Tried card closure from my cards but it gives an error.
Should this be followed up or is it a standard practice before final closure for inactive cards?
