Story - opened bom BSS-25 in January for specifically rupay select debit card. Bank's IT system is fu*ked up. Dc was supposed to automatically issued after account opening but it didn't. After 10 days of account opening registered a complain which was closed by branch citing "visit branch to apply for the Debit card". This message fu*ked my mind since the branch is 28 km from my house. Fortunately in their online account opening guidelines i should have received the dc without visiting the branch. Then raised complain citing this guideline. This time complaint was closed quicker then the previous ones. This again fu*ked my mind. Raised complain with general manager and ho. They didn't bother to apply. Total number of complaints was more than 10. Waited for 30 days for rbio.RBIO took time but got the DC eventually and 5k compensation. Thanks to RBIO. Complain screenshot is attached below.

Many people here said opening online BSS 25 was difficult. also they only send debit card to branch and we have to collect manually they say.

1.What is the process u followed?

2. In online I saw there are two variants BSS 15, BSS 25 did they have a drop-down to select the variant? How did you choose the variant before vkyc?

3.What if they opened BSS 15? I saw their guide and it didn’t mentioned selecting account variant or did I missed.

Can you share more info on online account bss25 account opening as it will be helpful to many

Keep it up, btw, I feel they could have awarded more compensation. Still better than closing case with no resolution.

This is just for information for people who hold Rupay Select Debit card (i am holding Bank Of Mahashtra- RSDC). When i sent a query to Rupay team regarding the benefits update frequency / renewal of benefits -every year or quaterly, i received following response.

"Please note for the Bank of Maharashtra Rupay Select Card starting with first 6 digits as 6524** the benefit frequency details are based on calendar year and can be redeemed once service out of each category and the details are as follows:

OTT ( Amazon Prime/ Zee5/ Sonyliv)...
